Super Bowl 2013 ads

02/02/2013 Update
By now you know the strategy: Nearly $4 million is a lot of dough for a 30-second Super Bowl ad, so marketers taking the plunge are under more pressure than ever to make it count. That now generally means releasing the ad, and teasers, on the web early and unleashing huge PR and social media campaigns to gather up as many impressions as possible before and after the actual game.

Volkswagen - Sunny Side

With its The Force advert from two years ago regarded by many as one of the best Super Bowl adverts of all time, Volkswagen is looking to hit similar heights with its latest effort. The advert is made up of a series of YouTube video meltdowns from a women weeping over cats in her Eharmony video bio to a man having an Original Video Game Freak Out’ and smashing his Xbox.

Coca-Cola Happiness Table

This time they move to Italy, Naples to be precise, where an ordinary delivery truck transforms into a happiness table in a small square. This happiness table is run by famous chef Simone Rugiati who is asking people to eat together more often, as families are doing it less and less due to the fast tempo the modern world has.

I just hope that this time this 'happines' table is not fake as well and all these people were not just hired for an awesome video. I hope they really did it. But after London fake machines I imagine that this is fake as well. But the video and the concept are awesome :) Enjoy!

Coca-Cola launched a new app on Facebook for this occasion where you can invite your friends to come over for a meal with three different foodie ambassadors to choose from to deliver your invitation. Moreover, you can find great recipes, and read amazing facts on the benefits of sharing mealtimes.

Coca Cola's new “Share Happiness”

The Facebook page now has 50,089,262 likes and Coca-Cola is trying to find “simple ways to make the world a happier place” in a quest.

Using an app on Coca-Cola’s Facebook Page, fans can support the idea of spreading happiness. Registered fans will participate in the initiative by influencing the ideas submitted. Coca-Cola will enable people to become more socially active and collaborate to develop ideas that help spread happiness around the world.

The long-term project will finish in 2013 with the embodiment of the ideas and could result in a a social application or something else that can motivate Facebook community to spread happiness around the world.

Haha obviously after my first discovery that Coca Cola's vending machines are fake I finally decided to 'Like' Coke's Fb page and let's see what happens next! If by any chance I will be participating in the any further events I will obviously post everything here. So let the discovery start ;)
