Uniqlo Pinterest 'Dry Mesh Project'

Uniqlo and NYC based Firstborn team up for a project that owns Pinterest.
To wake Pinterest users from a scrolling slumber, Uniqlo created 100 separate shell Pinterest accounts that pinned images simultaneously. As users scrolled down their favorite categories, they came across all the images, which combined to create giant mosaics that “animated” when scrolled through.
The giant branded mosaics can be seen by Pinterest users whether or not they follow the Uniqlo brand page. The project targets five categories on which mosaics will appear: men’s apparel, women’s apparel, geek, fitness and sports.

Pinsanity!

Be it one of those internet hipster fads, or a serious brand building tool, Pinterest has made a strong presence among the social media giants. We already found that it can get pretty addictive but this video by Comediva & The Blush takes the cake. It shows a psycho chick stealing and pinning personal items (and living creatures) in real life. Also, she’s Asian, stereotype anyone?

If you are not familiar with Comediva and their work be sure to checkout their YouTube channel, they cover other topics from the social media world and many others as well.

What’s the World’s Most Beautiful Country? competition by Pinterest

The world has fallen in love with Pinterest, the social network with beautiful images at its core. Now Pinterest users get to decide where they most love in the world.

A crowdsourced project created by travel site First Choice — living in an interactive HTML5 infographic — is asking globally-minded Pinterest users which country is the world’s most beautiful. First Choice hopes the competition will awaken a desire for travel among users.

You can vote on Twitter or Pinterest for your favorite country, and share the reason behind your choice.

When you explore the graphic, you can see the pins submitted for other countries and learn why others voted for them as most beautiful.

An added perk to participation: a chance to win a DSLR camera.
