It is a tradition to fool people of 1st April - April Fool's Day! Here is an example how did some of the companies fool consumers this year! First - Google!

Google Launches New Products on April Fool’s Day: Google Maps 8-bit & Gmail Tap

Simply awesome. For the last few years Google has thrown out great little April Fools, and this might just be the coolest (or at least the most old-skool) yet, launching this video promoting 8-Bit Google Maps for Nintendo! And while it’s obvious it’s an April Fools prank, they actually built it into Google Maps and you can access it here. It’s been so popular people are demanding it stay!

Presenting  journeys to the center of the Earth with Virgin Volcanic!

Virgin announced that Sir Richard Branson accompanied by Tom Hanks, Will.i.am, Seth Green and Barbara Kopple will do the impossible and go on the first ever expedition to the core of an active volcano. They have five of five most active volcanoes in the world: Etna, Stromboli, Yasur, Ambrym and Tinakula scheduled to visit in the next three years. On the Virgin Volcanic website the team is looking for volunteers to join their back-up team. Send a tweet using #virginvolcanic hashtag if you got what it takes to be a part of Richard Branson’s conquering the center of the Earth.

These are not all the examples, but in my opinion the best ones. There were also jokes made by Skype, Toshiba, Sony, Sega, Honda and others but are not as good as the above examples.
