It is almost a month since I posted about London Olympic Games Sponsorship and finally... less than two months before the event......it is time for the new adverts/activities for the London 2012 Olympic Games!
This time I am posting about Omega, Panasonic and Eurostar.
Omega Celebrates Being the Official Olympics Timekeeper for the 25th Time
Omega, the official timekeeper of the London 2012 Olympic Games, has rolled out its global advertising campaign for the Games. The campaign’s epicenter is a TV spot, produced in 15-, 30- and 60-second versions.
Celebrate 2012 London Olympics With Panasonic’s Flag Tags App
Panasonic, being the Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Audio Video Equipment Category has decided to join the celebration by launching a new Facebook app called Flag Tags, which literally tags your face with your country’s flag – and you don’t even have to wash up afterwards because everything is done on a virtual level, making it also possible to share with your friends the joy of representing your country in such manner.
“Flag Tags is a unique and fun way for people to show their support for their national team during London 2012. As an athlete preparing for the home Olympic Games, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I’m thrilled to share this journey with the nation and look forward to seeing all the wonderful painted faces via Flag Tags!”, says Louise Hazel, Panasonic’s Olympic Ambassador
With this app, Panasonic wants to show that the age old tradition of face painting during Olympics and Paralympics will never die and has been successfully converted onto a digital platform making it accessible to anyone with a Facebook account.
“As Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Audio Video Equipment Category, we are delighted to announce the launch of Flag Tags which will allow people around the world to show support for their country in the London 2012 Games with this exciting App. The Games unites people all around the world in a way no other sporting event on Earth can, and Panasonic is looking forward to bringing the world together and capturing the Olympic spirit through Flag Tags,” says John Dixon, Brand Communications Director at Panasonic UK.
Eurostar ads in tribute to British Olympians
French ad agency Leg has created a cheeky Olympic campaign for Eurostar
featuring Greek-style statues of what it presumably sees as typical
British athletic heroes – playing darts and snooker.
The images of classical statues featured in the ads play to French stereotypes of the beer-swilling Brit.
